Not yet – to be honest if you go to the categories and look in the 4.1 – 5.0 stars and look at anything with a 5 star rating, that’s on the list. But I’ll have a little up on its own soon.

As far as places to get ramen, no. But I can definitely say that if you enjoy dim sum, check out Sun Ya in the International District! Absolutely perfection!
I think its very sucks. My English is very sucks, too. I know. I’m korean and I stay in NY. You don’t know the authentic korean ramen recipes. That’s wrong way. There are many kind of noodle in Korea.
Ramen=Ra+men(noodle), Korean pronounce is RaMyun. Ra+Myun(Noodle)
ramyun,Jjajangmyun,naengmyun,bibimmyun, etc .
Many korean Ramen don’t need to put something like egg and veg and salt.
That makes complete. That already include of them. sometimes add egg its good. but don put the fried egg. you must put raw egg.
And many Korean Ramen is kind of spice flavor. You should Know more local infomation. your testing is very sucks. thats not objective. because you put something. Thats very akward to me like general Korean. And I dont agree your topten. shinramen black its suck in Korea. you know?
If You want to be a pro in ramen, you must learning more authentic thing.
I’m sorry you disagree with my review – I will agree with you totally – I don’t know Korean ramyun – at least, I don’t know it othjer than the instant variety. I’m a white american. I’m a huge fan of asian foods of all kinds and though I’ve never been to asia, I’m going about it in this way: i’m not rich. I buy instant noodles – they are cheap and there are so many varieties. That’s what my reviews are about. I’m sorry you don’t agree and would really like to know more. If you would like to give some more info that would be great! I would be very appreciative of maybe doing an interview and doing a post with your insights on Korean noodles dishes. Email me at hans@theramenrater.com! Thansk for your comments.
First; yes, your English does suck. I normally would not comment on it, but since you are such a little douche bag I will. You want us to completely follow Korean rules about food? Then how about you learn English BEFORE you spew your small mind on a blog in the ENGLISH language. It’s is good and nice to respect authentic ways with food. But first of all it is simply impossible 100%, because even with import products you still can’t get everything in the west, especially when it comes to fresh items. Second, THE PURPOSE OF FOOD IS TO BE ENJOYED. I am going to repeat that and cannot stress it enough; the PURPOSE of food is to be ENJOYED. True cooking knows no taboos, rules. Just like I don’t use measuring instruments and cook purely and solely on feel and instinct.
It’s making the best with what you’ve GOT, not with what you WANT.
Combining local ingredients is perfectly fine, even more so when flavors match and combine, lifting the whole experience. Final note: the best cooks in the world experiment a LOT, don’t follow set rules and always use local fresh ingredients.
Did you know that “Nong Shim Black Premium Ramens” are “Illegal” to sell in Korea?
Because Korean FDA found out that Nong Shim Black Premium Ramen claimed false information.
Nong Shim Black Premium Ramens Should not be sold in any world markets.
Nong Shim Black Premium Ramens Should be off from entire markets.
As far as I know, they claimed them to be healthier and of a higher quality. They also made them a bit more expensive. I’m sorry – I like it and find it to be of excellent quality.
After reading your review of Nong Shim Black Premium Ramen, my wife and I saw some and purchased a 18 count box. Turned out to be one of the best ramen soup noodles we have ever had!
Found this link, interesting and informative. I’ve always been taught that Kikkoman is the best soy sauce available in the west, turns out that’s more for dipping (like a egg-roll, rice-ball) and not for cooking.
Kikkoman is way expensive anyways.
Hope this is any useful to you. Now I’ll go hunt for the best hot sauces…
Just had a packet of Nissin XO Sauce Abalone.
IMO; good, but not very good.
Had the cup XO Sauce Seafood yesterday. Pretty tasty, a very rich flavor, taste really is sea food, as well as the smell.
The bits of sea creatures was nice. I also like their regular Cup Seafood, with little shrimps :-p
So far from their regular cups I like Beef best, a very good full and rich flavor, round, not harsh. Just wish it had a few more chunks of meat in it.
Do you have a top 10 list? I do not want to try everything at my local store.

Top hot sauces eh? I used to run saucerater.com – I tried over 250 of em! My fave is Melinda’s Garlic Habanero Hot Sauce – it’s wonderful stuff.

Thanks! Will try that if I can (import or) get it here (The Netherlands).
Yeah it’s from Costa Rica but sold in the US as Melinda’s brand – http://www.melindas.com I think.
