#611: Batchelors Super Noodles Low Fat Sweet Thai Chili Flavour

This is the last of the Super Noodles sent by Cindy C. of England. Thanks again!

So today is my wife and I’s second anniversary. No, not a wedding anniversary – we got married in July. This is our two year ‘Click-I-Versary.” You see, we met on an online dating website! Two years ago today she clicked a button on my profile and let me know she liked me. I did the same. The chatted online for a little bit and then called and talked to eachother for many hours – the rest is history! I can honestly say I’ve never been happier in my life. Love you, Kitten!

Here’s the back of the packaging…

The single, shiny packet…

The contents smelled really good!

As I said above, Kit & I were married in July. I made a great batch of hot sauce for wedding souvenirs!

The finished product. Added a two-egg omelet with Pup & Kit’s Burning Love hot sauce and a few dashes of Krazy Mixed Up Salt. It’s kind of a bummer; I thought I was saving the best for last but as far as this stuff went, the seasoning’s great odor ended there. The stuff was so bland! Weird. 2.0 out of 5.0 stars. The hot sauce filled omelet was good at least. I got a text from Kit on Christmas morning on 2009 asking if I would like to fly down to California to meet for the first time and spend New Year’s with her. Saying yes was the best decision I ever made. You can get the noodles here.

Saucy noodles eh? Wouldn’t kind trying it with some fish fingers!

#558: Long Kow’s Crystal Noodle Soup Vegetables ( and Eggs )

Thought this looked worth trying. Vegetables and noodles. Sure why not.

Here’s the flavoring packet if you want to call it that. It says Vegetables and Eggs though… I am truly unhappy – I didn’t take a picture of this and I’m really bummed and truly sorry. It looked like a brick of freeze-dried vegetable omelet. When I poured boiling water on it, it disintegrated and started fluffing up almost immediately.

Here’s the ingredients and nutrition facts off the side of ther bowl.

Yeah… There it is. Well, it wasn’t what I’d hoped for. What did I hope for? A good bowl of noodles. I was skeptical when I saw they were bean thread. The large amount of mushroom and cabbage and odd hydrated egg was amazing. I think if this were spicy and they’d used fried noodles that I would have liked it much better. Long story short, I’m not pleased. 1.5 out of 5.0 stars. Find it here.

#492: Noah Foods Phoya Rice Noodsle Soup With Beef Flavor

Never seen this before – I also got a chicken variety as well I’ll review a bit down the road. I like the name – Phoya… Maybe there could be a froyo and pho place called PhoYo? Ya!

Three packets – starting from top going clockwise, we have veggies, seasoned oil and dry powder.

Everything sitting on top of the rice noodle ‘block.’ More like a pillow of them…

All done with a couple fried eggs. So the noodles weren’t all that great – kind of funky. The broth was kind of bland too, and the veggies were unimpressive. They did come with a neat little folking fork you can check out in the 8/30/2011 update of Included Forks: A Special Report. Unfortunately, a spiffy fork does not a groovy bowl noodle make. 2.75 out of 5.0 stars.

Odd lady making beef pho eventually.

I watched this all of the time when I was a kid – this is truly awesome and something I’ve been looking for for a long time!
