#915: Wai Wai Casserole Beef Flavour Oriental Style Instant Noodle

Here’s something new I found at H Mart. Casserole huh? Beef sounds good. By the way – underneath the sticker on the front it says ‘Beef Flavour.’ Let’s check it out.

I really had a time scanning the back of the package. Inverting the colors had the best effect (click to enlarge).

Very thin, crunchy and tasty noodles at this point!

Powder on the left, oil on the right.

An interesting beef and slight sugary taste.

The oil has a strong onion scent.

Finished (click to enlarge). Added some stir fry veggies, onion, thin sliced rib eye, kizami shoga (pickled ginger), Urashima Sesame & Salt furikake and some green onions. The noodles are neat – thin, sort of crumbly and have a nice flavor. The broth is very light; almost bland. Has a good beef taste to it though. all in all, pretty good – 3.5 out of 5.0 stars. #580 Baijia Original Hot & Sour Flavor Casserole Stewed Rice Noodle

Baijia with rice noodles eh? Sounds different – hope it’s better than all the others I’ve tried!

Here’s everything atop the rice thread. When I initially opened the package, I got a whiff – a horrible smelling whiff. A kind of vinegar scent.

Okay, let’s try this. Oh wow – alright so the noodles are better than the noodles I’ve had in all of the other Baijia products. But then there’s the taste. Hot and sour doesn’t even begin to describe. The broth is greasier than can be tolerated and the flavor is like a chemically-inducedf spicy with vinegar and I don’t know what. This is wretched and I couldn’t eat more than one bite. Easily one of the worst instant noodles I’ve had in my life. 0 out of 5 stars. That a big round one.
