If you’re new to The Ramen Rater’s Show Your Noodles, you can email me a picture of some noodles you’ve made, include your name and location and I’ll post it on the Show Your Noodles roundup! Fancy or functional, it doesn’t matter. I mean, you could do literally anything you want with some instant noodles – use your imagination!  Want to be part of the next Show Your Noodles? Just email me at hans@theramenrater.com. Let me know you first name, last initial, and city/state or country! My wife does the judging – here we go!

In first place we have Gillian S. from England –

Hello, my name is Gillian. S from London. I am the girlfriend of Joe who you have spoken to before. He will get back to you about Pot Noodle soon, he is lazy. Anyway, here are some pictures I got him to email me of his work lunches of late, plus a video we made of us making some delicious ramen noodles the other weekend. We bought them whilst shopping at one of the small local oriental supermarkets we like to frequent, after recognising them from your blog. Please excuse us in the video, we are slightly intoxicated. Hope you enjoy!

Here’s Gill & Joe’s video!

In 2nd place, Robert J. from New York

Sapporo Ichiban Chow Mein Ramen from my local Wegmans! They have a very large variety (atleast more than any other store around here) of noodles!
Poached egg with pan fried mushrooms and chicken, topped with “Huy Fong – Sriracha Hot Chili Sauce.” It came with a topping of seaweed sprinkles.
The noodles and powder mix alone were pretty good honestly but I wanted a meal out of it instead of a snack.
I hope to do more of these now knowing we have a huge section at my local store! Also thank you for giving me ideas of what to add to my ramen instead of having just plain boring noodles! Keep up the good work!

Finally in 3rd place, Heidi X. from Germany:

I’m a huge fan of your blog and thus I want to contribute.
So the other day I made some Creamy Mushroom Ramen and took a pic of it…
hope that you can feature it in Show Your Ramen #21!
Thank so much 🙂

Wow – awesome group of submissions this time! Thank you very much! Would like to do this as a weekly thing, so everyone in earshot, contribute some pictures of your noodles for all to see!

This is Nong Shim HooRooRook with corn, green onion, portabello mushrooms,  jalapenos, cabbage, carrots, hard boiled egg with McIlhenny Co. Tabasco Pepper Sauce and Mixed Up Krazy Salt.  In the broth, I boiled red pepper flakes, cayenne pepper, Srirracha Garlic Sauce and a pinch of sea salt.  These have definitely become my favorite noodles!

Show Your Noodles Week 16

Been busy lately so decided it’s time to do this one up!  If you’re new to The Ramen Rater’s Show Your Noodles, every week you can email me a picture of some noodles you’ve made. include your name and location and I’ll post it on the weekly roundup! Fancy or functional, it doesn’t matter. I mean, you could do literally anything you want with some instant noodles – use your imagination!  Want to be part of next week’s Show Your Noodles? Just email me at hans@theramenrater.com. Let me know you first name, last initial, and city/state or country!

There’s three entries this time. In third place, Michelle L. from New York’s entry

It was my lunch today: udon w/ tofu & veggies, gone psychedelic!

In second place, Anniqa from Sweden’s entry:

I got hungry, reading your review of Nong Shim’s Jinjju Jinjju ramyun. At 3am, I couldn’t very well go see what the local supermarket had, so I made my own version: Wei Lih Jah Jan Mien with peanut butter, sri
racha, some vegs and a few slices of salami. It was ok, but not really great. The salami didn’t really fit, but I was all out of ham. I’ve done Mama’s Tom Yum ramen with gado gado, habanero, and salty
black beans a lot of times though – that’s better!

In first place, Venessa from Indonesia’s entry:

My noodles is Nongshim’s claypot ramyun. I added some homemade chicken balls, sausage, and an egg. I thought it will be spicy enough so I don’t add any bird eye chilli but I was wrong. It was kind of mild even though the broth’s color is red. But after all it was so fulfilling.

Awesome entries, everyone! Please — enter more photos as often as you like! Hoping to have a lot more next time around!

#555: Batchelor’s Super Noodles Chinese Chow Mein Flavour

Hey! Some more noodles I got from Cindy C. of Middlesex, UK! Thanks again! So this one’s Chinese Chow Mein. It’s also promising the possibility of currency inside the packet!

Another tip! I really dig this a lot.

Notice on these directions they don’t refer to it as a stovetgop but as ‘on the hob.’ Can someone post a comment if they know about this term?

A mound of powder. I must admit it sure has a funky odor; although it’s somewhat familiar…

The finished product. I figured out what this flavor is – I even have a story. When I was much younger, I would go out and party up a bit and return home late. I’d quietly climb the stairs to the kitchen so I wouldn’t wake anyone up and sequester myself in there, attempting to find a midnight snack. More than once I would take a can of Campbell’s soup – often Vegetable, and a pack of Top Ramen and make it together, then bring it back downstairs and ingest it. Well, that’s what this stuff reminds me of. Unfortunately, it wasn’t all that great then and it isn’t all that great now, except it reminded me of old times, which in itself was nice, but can’t be part of the score really. So this one is going to rate at 2.75 out of 5.0 stars.

A couple of commercials…
