#611: Batchelors Super Noodles Low Fat Sweet Thai Chili Flavour

This is the last of the Super Noodles sent by Cindy C. of England. Thanks again!

So today is my wife and I’s second anniversary. No, not a wedding anniversary – we got married in July. This is our two year ‘Click-I-Versary.” You see, we met on an online dating website! Two years ago today she clicked a button on my profile and let me know she liked me. I did the same. The chatted online for a little bit and then called and talked to eachother for many hours – the rest is history! I can honestly say I’ve never been happier in my life. Love you, Kitten!

Here’s the back of the packaging…

The single, shiny packet…

The contents smelled really good!

As I said above, Kit & I were married in July. I made a great batch of hot sauce for wedding souvenirs!

The finished product. Added a two-egg omelet with Pup & Kit’s Burning Love hot sauce and a few dashes of Krazy Mixed Up Salt. It’s kind of a bummer; I thought I was saving the best for last but as far as this stuff went, the seasoning’s great odor ended there. The stuff was so bland! Weird. 2.0 out of 5.0 stars. The hot sauce filled omelet was good at least. I got a text from Kit on Christmas morning on 2009 asking if I would like to fly down to California to meet for the first time and spend New Year’s with her. Saying yes was the best decision I ever made. You can get the noodles here.

Saucy noodles eh? Wouldn’t kind trying it with some fish fingers!

Classic

#400: Nissin Cup Noodles Seafood Curry Flavour (Hong Kong)

So for the 400th revaiew, I went with one I’ve thought should be interesting – seafood curry. These are Cup Noodles that are not for sale usually in the United States. I’ve found two – Crab Flavour and Seafood Flavour, but this Curry Seafood Flavour came from Canada.

I think the packaging on these reflect a little more pride in the product as well as quality. For example, a Shrimp Flavor Cup Noodles for the US doesn’t have such ornate images or shiny gold on them. Of course, what matters is what’s inside.

Look at that – a ton of stuff is in this one! Usually the ones sold in the US have an eighth as much stuff. Was nice – an immediate curry odor filled the nostrils as only Japanese curry can.

Nothing added. The noodles steeped perfectly. The vegetables and little bits of dehydrated fish came out just perfect, and the broth was very curry. My only complaint was that the curry flavor overwhelmed the seafood taste so that there was really none at the end of the day. I really liked this one though. 4.25 out of 5.0 stars.

#373: Nissin Cup Noodles Chicken Vegetable Flavor Ramen Noodle Soup

So here’s one my lady Kit brought me back from California! Cup Noodles Chicken Vegetable time!

Standard lid for these…

No packets – everything’s in the cup.

Here’s the finished product. The noodles were a little funky in this one – kind of tough even though they’d sat is the boiling water for a good five minutes. The veggies never seemed to completely rehydrate… The broth was nice though. All in all, a kind of lackluster Cup Noodles – 2.75 out of 5.0 stars. Get it here.

#360 Nissin Cup Noodles Hearty Chicken Flavor Ramen Noodle Soup

Another one from California! Thanks my lovely Kitten! So this should be good I hope! Onward!

Pretty standard here – just remember – don’t microwave the styrofoam!

That’s a lot of seasoning! Didn’t see any veggies though.

Yep – veg-less! So I think a more apt name would be creamy chicken flavor. It’s not bad, although I must admit the noodles didn’t seem to get done enough. I even gave them extra time and they were still a little tough. Not bad, not great. 2.5 out of 5.0 stars. Get it here.

Make your own at the Ramen Noodle Museum!
