#470: Maruchan Ramen Noodle Soup Chicken Mushroom Flavor

I’ve tried many of the Maruchan noodles line and I’d thought I’d had all of their packagdd noodles for the US market – then this shows up. The Market At Anacortes had it – never seen it before. My wife loves mushrooms so hoping she likes it too.

One packet, neatly labeled and ready to go.

Simple, yellowish powder; your standard chickenish stuff.

Added two fried eggs. I likie it – the noodles are as one would expect from Maruchan and the broth is good. I did feel that there was an okay mushroom flavor – I definitely smelled it more when it was cooking. My wife loved it – says its now one of her favorites. I’m going to give it a 3.25 out of 5.0 stars.

So far away, it’s easy to forget that this ever happened, isn’t it? Debt ceilings and Charlie Sheen don’t compare to the hell earth wrought on the Japanese in March. The reactor’s still venting radioactivity as well.

Power from space! He’ll save the human race! Guess we’ll never know the face of Spectreman…

#388: Maruchan Instant Lunch Cheddar Cheese Flavor Ramen Noodles

So been really curious how this one’d pan out. I’ve tried mac and cheese-esque noodles before, but never in a cup…

So its your standard lid. Nothing more, nothing less.

So the seasoning is in with the noodles. It looks like there’s quite a bit of it too., packing 1100mg sodium. I think the Maruchan lower sodium one was 700 something milligrams abd was supposed to be 35% less.

So here’s the deal: it’s not bad. I think it would’ve been a good idea to use less water though. Was like cheese noodle soup. The noodles were broad and very cheesy though, and it was pretty good stuff. We had this stuff along with a couple of chicken and cheese wraps for dinner last night. Was a weird combo. 2.75 out of 5.0 stars. Get it here.

I think this guy’s on to something.

#377: Sau Tao Ho Fan Abalone Chicken Soup Flavored

Yep – here’s another of the Sau Tao’s. I’m just going to go through all of them in a row I think. This is Chicken and Abalone – kind of a new twist on ‘surf and turf’ eh? Anyways…

From left to right we have seasoning powder, seasoned oil and veggies.

A blurry shot of the ingredients atop the noodles. This is what happens when you combine housecleaning and ramen rating.

The final product. Broth is awesome, noodles are awesome, tons of veggies! Extremely good stuff; kind of reminds me of a chicken stew. Added a little black pepper after this picture too and that added a little niceness to the whole thing. So this appears to be my favorite so far of the Sau Tao line. 4.0 out of 5.0 stars! Find it here.
