#653: Dragonfly Instant Noodles Artificial Pork Ribs Flavor

I thought today would be a nice day to have some pork ribs in noodle form! I wonder how it’ll be? I think it’ll pass the test as it’s yet another Dragonfly product. I know it’s wintertime and all but I think that Punksatawnee Phil’s Groundhog Day prediction was incorrect. He saw his shadow, predicting six more weeks of winter. On  the bright side, statistics show he’s been correct  – 39% of the time.

Finished! I added a two egg omelet with a little Lindberg Snider Porterhouse & Roast seasoning and a dash of Chef Paul Prudhomme’s de Arbol chile powder. Since it was a bowl of pork noodles, I went with a little ham. Great noodles as usual. The broth was great too – a little bit of spicy and sweet and a nice meaty flavor. Love this stuff – 4.0 out of 5.0 stars. UPC barcode 721557450956 .

#610: Wei-Wei “A” Series Instant Noodles Artificial Chicken Flavor

Here’s yet another from Michelle L. of New York. I am really digging the “A” series so far!

Again like #609, the block is very angular and flat – you could rest a Slurpee on top of this without worry that it would fall over!

Dry seasoning on the left, oil seasoning on the right. This stuff was steeped with the noodles under an 80’s yearbook for four minutes…

Finished. So I made a couple eggs, scrambled them in the pan, put a touch of Colby cheese and some ketchup, turned it into an omelet, and finally a few pinches of Cavender’s Greek seasoning. Not bad – was a little greasy and the chicken flavor wasn’t super good. The noodles were nice though. Didn’t finish the broth though. Good amount of veggies. Last “A” was better. 3.25 out of 5.0 stars. Find it here.

I look for artificial chicken and find artificial chicken inseminatio. Go figure. Okay – so this is what you need to do if you want non-artificial chickens.

Re-Review: Indomie Instant Noodles Mi Goreng Satay Fried Noodles

This is one of the samples sent by Empire International – thanks again to them and Jim C.! Many years ago, I tried this stuff. This was the first Indomie product I’d ever tried! I used to get tons of this stuff – my folks would bring it back to anacortes from Seattle , a bit of a journey for noodles! All the packets, the draining, the eggs… This is where it all begand for me.

Such awesome noodles – they are really great!

Alright let’s start from left to right. Seasoned oil, sweet soy sauce, fried onion bits, powdered seasoning and chili powder. Five packets of awesomeness!

Here’s everything but the onions awaiting the drained noodles and some stirring.

Added a couple eggs with Chef Paul Prudhomme’s Meat Magic and a bunch of drops of Huy Fong Sriracha Chili sauce. The noodles are great. The flavor is sweet and salty and the little bits of onion on top give it a wonderful zestiness. The chili powder give it a little heat too. I made two packages – it’s so good. 5.0 out of 5.0 stars! #375: Vifon Pho Bo An Lien Vietnamese Style Instant Rice Noodle Beef Flavour

So here’s something new but kind of like a lot of other stuff…

Okay so the noodles are kind of broad, yeah. The broth is quite greasy. The noodles are mushy. The veggies are there but not enough. It doesn’t taste like beef pho. 0.5 out of 5.0 stars. Bummer, Vifon! Find it here.

Re-Review: Tat Hui Koka Mi Hai Tom 2 Prawn Flavour Oriental Style Instant Noodles

So I reviewed this one a really long time ago and thought it really needed to be brought out again. I don’t even remember what score I gave it, but it’s being prepared no doubt a little different this time and so we shall see how it fares. I remember liking it a great deal.

As I reviewed a couple bites and my lovely Kit had the rest for dinner, I skipped the chili powder. Soup base on left, flavored oil on the right.

Made with two eggs that were dropped in which the noodles were cooking. The noodles were very nice – long and luxuriant. Very nice texture. The prawn flavor is nice – not overwhelming and it plays well with others. I like it very much – 3.75 out of 5.0 stars.
