#855: Vina Acecook Bestcook Instant Noodles Hot & Sour With Shrimp Flavour

Here’s a new one – sounds good to me – kind of funny having two instants that are ‘hot and sour’ flavored in a row…

The label around the side! Click to enlarge!

Hey – a new fork!

The noodle block.

Powder seasoning.

Slightly granular in nature.

There are two liquid packets.

Dark and thick.

This is a seasoned oil.

Looks interesting…

The veggie and seafood packet.

I must say – I’m quite impressed with the variety here.

Finished. Added some bell pepper, onion, broccoli, odeng (Korean fish cake), hard boiled egg with Tony Chachere’s Creole Seasoning and a few squirts of Huy Fong Sriracha chili sauce. The noodles are thin, tasty and buttery – exceptional. The broth has a nice spicy, sour and tasty flavor. The vegetable/seafood mixture wasn’t bad; I would say it adds more to the broth than as something that stands out on its own. This was really quite good – 4.25 out of 5.0 stars – I’m impressed.  UPC bar code 8934563501167 .

My lady also finds this to be very amusing as do I

#782: Nongshim Bowl Noodle Soup Savory Shrimp Flavor

My son wanted to try this one today, so I will have a bite and a slurp too.

Outer packaging detail.

The lid.

The noodle block.

The seasoning packet!

The seasoning – fine and powdery.

The bottom of the bowl is full of veggies and one shrimp.

Andy enjoyed it a lot and even hit up the chopsticks! Here’s his LEGO website, www.andyslegostuff.com!

Finished. Andy wanted some kamaboko, red bell pepper and snap peas. The broth was nice – had a mellow seafood flavor that was very nice and did taste like shrimp. The noodles were great – a nice relaxy kind of texture. The veggies were okay but more would’ve been nice. More shrimp would’ve been good too, but usually I don’t find any shrimp in shrimp flavored things, so this is better than the norm. 3.25 out of 5.0 stars. UPC bar code 031146007592 – get it here.

Looks like some kind of gaming competition – interesting.

I’m going to make everyone say kimchi when I take their picture now!

Re-Review: Meet The Manufacturer: Nongshim Shin Ramyun Shrimp Flavor

Here’s another of the Nongshim Shin Ramyun variants – shrimp flavor! This one was picked up for me by my sister in Canada. So far, I’ve been reviewing packs and cups from Korea and the United States by Nongshim. This one was made in China. I liked it a lot before – let’s have it again! Yay!

Here’s the back of the packaging. You can see that it’s made in Shanghai.

This is a pretty good-sized noodle block.

A big packet of…

…spicy red seasoning!

The veggies.

Not a lot of them. Wish there were a few more.

Finished! Added oeang, Frsno peppers, broccoli, onion, snap peas, water chestnuts, green bell pepper, a slice of processed cheese and some Tabasco Buffalo Style hot sauce. Great noodles, wonderful seafood soup taste. Wished there were a few more veggies but the ones it did come with were pretty decent. 4.5 out of 5.0 stars – good stuff! UPC bar code 6920238082026 .

Nongshim Ramen Contest 2008!

This is something called ‘The Nongshim Cup’ and I think they’re playing a game called Go.

#701: Meet The Manufacturer – Nissin Big Cup Noodles Lime Chili Shrimp

Here’s another one from Nissin! Lime Shrimp eh? Sounds decent – let’s try!

Side panels.

I have a hard time not eating this stuff – the lime reminds me of the lime flavor in the Flamin’ Hot Lime Cheetoes – which is strange since a recent review of Paldo Kko kko myun and Samyang Nagasaki Jjampong tasted like Jalapeno Cheese Cheetos – kinda funny! I like both of those flavors of Cheetos, by the way…

Finished. Thought this time it would be nice to present it a little better. The noodles are great – like broad egg noodles. The broth is really interesting; it kind of reminds me of a Tom Yum instant noodle with all the citrus flavor involved. I think a few dashes of Texas Pete and this would be even better! I liked it. Oh by the way – I ate it with a spoon! 4.0 out of 5.0 stars! UPC Barcode 070662030448 .

He’s going to throw some shrimp on the barbie!

What’s up with running with a slice of toast in your mouth? This is Kyary Pamyu Pamyu. Truly bizarre stuff from Japan.

#677: Nong Shim Shin Ramyun Shrimp Flavor

My sister was up in Canada at a big grocery store and found this for me! Shin Ramyun Shrimp Flavor! Never heard or seen it before – what a score! Let’s see how it goes with this one!

Here’s the back of the package. This isn’t made in Korea or in the United States – it’s from China and distributed in Hong Kong…

I always like round noodle blocks – don’t ask me why but I love that they fit so snugly in my noodle pot.

Here’s the powdered seasoning packet.

…and the powdered seasoning!

The vegetables packet.

…and its contents.

Finished! I added one egg during cooking, a handful of shrimp and a few dashes of Texas Pete Garlic Hot Sauce. The noodles are awesome – chewy and wide and really slurped up the seasoning. The broth is nice – has a good shrimp flavor and a nice spiciness to it. I liked this a lot – 4.5 out of 5.0 stars! UPC barcode 6920238082026 .
