Re-Review: Meet The Manufacturer: Annie Chun’s Ramen House Soy Ginger Ramen

Here’s one I reviewed a long time ago. Soy ginger sounds good to me! Let’s check it out.

The fresh noodle pack.

Liquid seasoning pack.

A dark liquid.

Finished (click image to enlarge). Added sweet onion, kamaboko and kizami shoga (pickled ginger). The noodles are decent as in the previous Ramen House review I did the other day. The broth is a little different. I’m not a fan of the strong soy flavor; I would have enjoyed something with a different soy sauce flavor. It seems like there’s two kinds of soy sauces – I don’t know the differences as far as brewing or correct terms for what they are, but this is the kind I’m not a huge fan of. However, a lot of people are a fan – unfortunately, it’s my tastebuds I have to answer to. 2.0 out of 5.0 stars. UPC bar code 765667140208 – get it here.

#526: Annie Chun’s All Natural Asian Cuisine Ramen House Soy Ginger Ramen

Well here we go with some domesticated ramen. This is a fresh pack by a supermarket available brand.

The noodles look nice and inviting – nice color. The packet is festive in its purpleness.

So the purple packet contains the purple packet contents. This looks to be a liquid soup base. I think the instructions were a little weird; you boil the noodles for a minute and then drain them. Next, rinse the pot and add one cup of water and the sauce, then add to the noodles.

Here we are. The noodles are very weak; they practically fell apart and were of a mushy consistency – was almost exactly like soggy spaghetti; an insult. Then the broth was very very light flavored. This was some of the most boring noodles I’ve ever had – I would say a pack of Nissin Top Ramen Chicken flavor was much more of an adventure than these. 1.50 out of 5.0 stars. You can get it at many grocery stores or here.
