This week there were two submissions! Awesome!@ Keep em coming! I’ve decided to let my wife decide which is best for the contest – so here we go! Just a reminder, if you want to send in a noodle pic or two, send them to info@ramenrater.com and please put ‘Show Your Noodles’ in the subject line!

Winner of first place, Christine from Portland, Oregon! Here’s what she wrote:

Hi!  I’m Christine from Portland, OR USA.  This is Rice noodles with Chinese BBQ pork slices, Korean Kimchi, green onions, carrots and broccoli in a clear broth!  I made this with stuff that happened to be around and it came out so good, next time I’ll shop for it!  😉

In second place, some awesome looking noodles from Jess :

Attached is my go to ramen.  It is Sapporo Ichiban Ramen Original flavor with 5 oz of sliced flat iron steak, chopped green onion, sriracha hot chili sauce, dab of sesame oil, and a sprinkle of Nanami Togarashi chili powder.  It is delicious!

Thank you both for your submissions! I hope you and others decide to submit again! Show Your Noodles!!!

#575: Batchelors Super Noodles Barbecue Beef Flavour

Here we go – I didn’t get to making anything to eat today until around 6pm so I thought this sounded filling. Thanks to Cindy C. from Middlesex, England for donating these!

Here’s the  back on the packaging….

I’m still completely awestruck with the simple genius of putting diffrent reipes on the packets. I could see this being a serious collecting thing over here.

The powder is waiting, the powder is waiting.

I added a couple of fried eggs which I sprinkled some Krazy Mixed Up Salt on. The noodles are pretty good – like cheap instant noodle noodles. The barbecue flavor? Well, it’s good but not overpowering. I see that there are versions of Super Noodles with ‘sauce’ – I wonder if they’re a little stronger… Anyways, this is pretty good stuff. 3.5 out of 5.0 stars! You can try it here.

Kelloggs eh?

Okay a quick pause from Thanksgiving.

#353: Nissin Top Ramen Chili Flavor Ramen Noodle Soup

So here’s one my lady got for me – chili flavor Top Ramen! So cool – dueling Chili flavor products back to back! Let’s rock!

A single packet. How they can tell this from a different packet is beyond me. Amazing.

Vivid reddish powder. Has a nicevolume too.

I added a couple hard boiled eggs, a sliced up piece of turkey breast lunch meat some Lindberg-Snider Red Baron BBQ seasoning and some Amanfopong Hot Pepper powder. So it was spicy and tasty. I also detected something I really really liked – a hint of cumin. This bound it all together nicely. 3.25 out of 5.0 stars. Get it here.

#309: Paldo Dosirac Beef Flavor Instant Noodle

So here’s anotherDosirac, this time beef. More of the same?

Same as before on packets – a veggie and a powder.

Waiting for the boiling water and a couple fried eggs which I topped with a couple pinches of Lindberg-Snider Red Baron Barbecue Seasoning – some of my all time flavoring seasoning I might add!

So the same deal as the chicken. The broth does seem to have a little spiciness to it the chicken didn’t, and there seem to be a few more of the little rehydrated chewy meat-like orbs floating around. The Noodles are decent. All around a fun bowl of noodles. 3.75 out of 5.0 stars.

As I’ve said before, I can’t find any Paldo Commercials. So here’s some odd commercials.

#288: Saigon Ve Wong Kung-Fu Artificial Beef Flavor Instant Rice Noodles

Some rice noodles from Vietnam. This was a puffy pack – like a pillow of non-beef goodness!

Clockwise from top left: soup powder, garnish (veg), chili powder amd seasoned oil.

The rice noodles were in a plastic bad.

The seasonings sit atop the noodle block awaiting 400cc of boiling water.

We made Korean BBQ last night so my lady kept out a little of the beef for me! I threw it in with the water as it boiled and then poured it and the water over the noodles and seasonings and covered. A quick stir after a few minutes and here we are.  The broth was nice – thick and hearty. The noodles were broad but a little oily from the soup and a little hard to eat. Adding the beef really helped it I think. Anyways, I liked it and throwing it 3.25 out of 5.0 stars.

Best noodle commercial ever.
