Re-Review: Nissin Spoon it Rich & Hearty Beef Stew Flavor Ramen Noodle Soup

Here’s another one from the oalready reviewed box. Thought it’d be a good one for today as it’s quite cold outside. You can check out the original review here.

Finished (click to enlarge). I added a can of mixed veggies, some Krazy Mixed Up Salt, Urashima Sesame & Salt furikake and a little Texas Pete hot sauce. The noodles are good – like egg noodles but from wheat flour. I found that the beef flavor was good, but missing something this time around. Pretty good – 3.5 out of 5.0 stars. UPC barcode 070662071021 .

Here’s one of my favorite Japanese tunes – ‘Flower of Carnage’ by Meiko Kaji. Here’s the translation:

Begrieving snow falls in the dead morning
Stray dog’s howls and the footsteops of Geta pierce the air
I walk with the weight of the Milky Way on my shoulders
But an umbrella that holds onto the darkness is all there is.
I’m a woman who walks at the brink of life and death
Who’s emptied my tears many moons ago.
All the compassion tears and dreams
The snowy nights and tomorrow hold no meaning
I’ve immersed my body in the river of venegance
And thrown away my womanhood many moons ago
On the behalf of heaven, they’re our soldiers, the loyal, invincible and brave.
Now it’s time for them to leave the country of their
Parents their hearts buoyed by encouraging voices.
They are solemnly resolved not to return alive, without victory.
Here at home, the citizens wait for you.
In foreign lands, the brave troops
Instead of kindness from someone
I do not care about
I rather prefer selifshness from you my beloved.
Oh, it the world a dream or an illusion?
I am all alone in jail.

#747: Nissin Spoon it Chicken Flavor Ramen Noodle Soup

Here’s the last of the Spoon it’s that I received from the folks at Nissin Foods, USA. Sounded like something good for lunch. Anyways, let’s get to it!

Here’s the back and side panels. Remember this is a box and comes with three packages of seasoning and noodles.

These are tasty on their own – like a snack thing – probably would be good with the seasoning sprinkled on and eaten raw as well!

One of the three seasoning packets. I like the design of these. If I took all the images I have of them and put em’ together, it’d probably look like a Warhol.

Here’s the seasoning – all ready to go.

Finished. Added some chicken lunch meat, a little kizami shoga (pickled ginger), a can of mixed veggies and a liberal dose of Texas Pete Hot Sauce. I think I’ll have to say I liked the creamy chicken flavor the best of the Spoon it line. This one has the same noodles, but that creaminess made that one a lot more enjoyable. This has a decent chicken taste though, and again I do like these noodles – cooked or uncooked. 3.5 out of 5.0 stars. UPC bar code 070662070024 .

This is kind of odd – J-Pop?

#719: Nissin Spoon it Beef Flavor Ramen Noodle Soup

Yep – yet another one of these. So far I’ve enjoyed them as lot! They’re part of the box of samples that Nissin Foods USA sent for Meet The Manufacturer week. Anyways, check it out!

Here’s the back and side panels from this one.

Here’s the bag of noodles – even uncooked, they’re tasty little buggers!

The seasoning packet of beefitude!

The powder’s ready to be used!

Finished. I heated a can of mixed vegetables and put some Krazy Mixed Up Salt on top. Then I put the noodles on top and a little bit of pickled ginger and pepper. The noodles are pretty good – like egg noodles. The broth has a nice beefy smell and taste to it. I must say though, out of all the Spoon it varieties I’ve tried so far, I liked this one the least. It just seems to be missing something – not sure what. 3.25 out of 5.0 stars – not bad but could be a little better. 070662070017 .

I’ve seen this video before – the Taiwan Beef Noodle Festival!

This is kinda weird.

#703: Meet The Manufacturer – Nissin Spoon it Rich & Hearty Beef Stew Flavor Ramen Noodle Soup

Here’s another of the new Spoon it line of noodle soups from Nissin! Beef stew sounds tasty…

Here’s the back and side panels.

Three bags of noodles.

Three pouches of seasoning.

Has a nice, beefish tint, eh?

Finished. I added some store brand stir-fry veggies. The noodles are nice – again like egg noodles. The sauce/broth is nice and thick and has a rich beef flavor to it. This is good stuff – I could easily see it accompanying some green beans and a little cut of beef. 3.75 out of 5.0 stars. UPC barcode 070662071021 .

SPOON!!!

Could you imagine using these spoons to eat things?

#351: Nissin Top Ramen Picante Beef Flavor Ramen Noodle Soup

So today I opted for something different from Nissin – Top Ramen Picante Beef. Kind of funny; why don’t they make a teriyaki beef or a stir fry flavor over here? Anyways, here we go…

A single packet of flavor – rather non descript too.

Dark and slightly chunky powder.

Added one hard boiled egg (sliced) and some kizami shoga (pickled ginger).  The noodles are your standard Top Ramen noodles. Tasty, industrial strength and relaxingly expected. The flavor was a little spicy actually and I enjoyed that. 3.0 out of 5.0 stars. Get it here.

For those keen on reguritation, here’s some soup.

This is the stupidest thing I’ve ever seen. Definitely not done by a local since its just so ridiculous. That music is stupid. I hated the seagull. Kill me.
