#771: Wingsfood Mie Sedaap Instant Mi Kuah Rasa Ayam Bawang

Here’s one I got locally at a new Indonesian grocery here in town – Waroeng Jajnan! I can’t wait to go back there! This is onion chicken flavor – ayam means chicken and bawang means onion.

Back of the packaging.

The noodle block.

Powder seasoning and chili powder.

Ready for business!

Seasoned oil.

Interesting seasonings – probably onion.

Fried onions go on top!

Tasties…

Finished. Added some onions and Fresno peppers, one egg, some Blue Diamond Sea Salt Almonds and some kizami shoga (pickled ginger). The noodles are just right – wonderful. The broth is very chicken onion flavored and just hits the spot. I really liked this one a lot – perfect comfort food! 4.0 out of 5.0 stars!  UPC bar code 8998866200318 .

This is one strange commercial!

#686: Wingsfood Mi Sedaap Mi Segera Jelas Terasa Sedapnya Mi Goreng Perisa Sambal Goreng

More Indonesian noodles! This one’s a spicy pack of mi goreng – fried noodles!

This is the export label.

Here’s the package back – the export sticker was a little obstinate.

Here’s the noodle block.

Well, not too hard to tell what we have here – from left to right, seasoned oil, hot chili sauce and sweet soy sauce.

Powdered seasoning sachet!

So everything gets put in the bowl and the noodles once done are drained and everything is stirred up.

Here’s the garnish packet – fried onions!

Finished! Added two fried eggs, some roast turkey lunch meat, kizami shoga (pickled ginger), Jane’s Krazy Mixed Up Salt and Melinda’s Garlic Habanero hot sauce. Oh – and the fried onion garnish. The noodles are great – chewy and soft too. The flavor is spicy and sweet – along with a satisfying and delicious crunch from the fried onion. This is grubbin! 4.5 out of 5.0 stars! UPC barcode 8998866200448 – get it here.

#435: Wingsfood Mie Sedaap Instant Mie Sambal Goreng

Sweet! Two days in a row of Indonesian delicacy! Today we have one with mention of Sambal in the title. Sambal equals spicy! Should be good!

Okay so clockwise from the top left we have the delicious fried onions that will be sprinkled on the finished product, dry powdered seasoning known as bumbu, a thick sweet black soy sauce called kecap manis, a chili sauce which usually is manis pedas but I think is where the sambal seasoning is contained, and finally some seasoned oil.

Some crazy looking stuff here! The seasoned oil is the opaque on top top left, then the chili sauce and then the soy sauce with the powder bumbu at the bottom.

The finished product with the nice little bots of fried onion sprinkled. This is what I was expecting yesterday – noodles are cooked and then drained and stirred on a bowl with the seasonings. So yeah this is some great stuff! Some spiciness going on that’s for sure! The onion was as advertised – delicious! Impressive! 4.25 out of 5.0 stars! Get it here.

#434: Wingsfood Baru Mie Sedaap Instant Kari Spesial Bumbu Kari Kental

So today we went and looked for noodles at the HT Oaktree on 100th & Aurora in Seattle. Found these new Indonesian noodles! Sweet! Kari translates to curry!!!

Nice to be greeted by so many packets! From left to right we have dry powder seasoning, chili powder, fried onions and then the seasoned oil. This is where the curry taste lie as it smelled so nice.

Wow now that looks crazy! I expected these noodles to be like Mi Goreng stuff from Indomie but it is definitely not the same. This one has a broth!

So here’s the finished result with a couple fried eggs tossed in. So this was really good – I expected something non soupy from Indonesia but this was just fine with me! A nice sweet curry flavor, a lovely color and flavor. I loved it – 4.5 out of 5.0 stars! Get it here.
