#932: Paldo Namja Ramen

It’s the day after Thanksgiving and I thought this would be nice to have. I’ve reviewed the Korean version in the past – this is the version for sale in the US.

Back of the package (click image to enlarge). From the ingredients, you can see the beef, chicken and garlic components.

The noodle block.

Seasoning powder packet.

Ahhh look at all of the powder – should be hot’n’spicy!

Veggie packet.

A nice little melange.

Finished (click image to enlarge).  Added sweet onion, some processed cheese, fresh Thanksgiving turkey, French’s French Fried Onions, a hard boiled egg and Krazy Mixed Up Salt. The noodles are great – nice and plump and plentiful. The broth has a great flavor – a strong spiciness too. Excellent red broth! The veggies are very nice too – good amount of garlic in there! Great stuff! 5.0 out of 5.0 stars! UPC bar code 648436100729 – get it here.

Here’s the commercial for Namja Ramyun

Hey sweet – I live just a couple minutes south of Lynwood!

We want to take this flight someday…

Product Samples From Paldo America!

I went on a walk today and luckily, I missed the rain – but not the mailman! He had a very odd shaped package for me that I was completely befuddled about. That is, until I saw who it was from. Moses from Paldo had sent me some samples!

Awesome! The new Namja Ramyun for stateside sale as well as the Kokomen King Cup and Cup! But why the odd package?

Some posters for my wall! Many thanks to Moses and everyone at Paldo America! I’ll be reviewing these soon!

Re-Review: Paldo Namja Ramyun (Men’s Ramyun)

I have fallen ill with some kind of head cold it seems and I thought something spicy would be good. My lovely wife Kit was kind enough make me some noodles for breakfast – she’s so good to me! Thought I’d have these – they’re available in the US now, but this is a Re-Review of the pack that is sold in Korea. The version sold in the US will be being reviewed soon! Here’s the link to the original review I did during Paldo’s Meet The Manufacturer.

Finished (click to enlarge). She put some odeng and a slice of processed cheese in. The noodles are great, the flavor is superb. I still agree with the old review – 5.0 out of 5.0 stars! Thanks again to my wife for making me feel better while I feel crummy! I love you! UPC bar code 8809296771018 – get it here.

Dude looks quite serious! Namja commercial

#910: Paldo Namja Ramyun King Cup

Here’s a new one from Paldo not yet available in the USA – Namja cup! Namja translates to Man’s or Guy’s – gender-specific noodles – that’s something new! I think would like to know about the ladies’ ramyun and what that would be… Anyways, let’s give this new one from Paldo a gander.

Here’s the side panels (click to enlarge).

Here’s the noodle block.

The powder seasoning packet.

The spicy powder!

Chili infused oil?

Looks like chili oil.

Looks like kamaboko, beef and chicken amongst the veggies.

Finished (click to enlarge). Added kimchi, processed cheese, sweet onion and some Urashima Sesame & Salt furikake. The noodles are pretty good – what you’d expect in a king cup from Paldo. The broth is very good – it has a nicely concocted meat flavor for a second and then a serious wave of heat! I’m enjoying it right now and it is really quite hot. The oil packet is a real plus in this one as it gives the broth a nice extra heartiness. The little bits and pieces of meat and kamaboko and veggies were decent – especially the meat – liked that a lot. A very nice bowl of noodles – 4.25 out of 5.0 stars. Paldo is having a ‘Happy Promotion’ – check it out here.UPC bar code 8809296881261 .

Namja ramyun TV spot.

From the interview with Paldo I did earlier this year:

TRR> What does the name ‘Paldo’ mean?

PALDO> The word “Pal” means number 8 in Korean and “Do” means Province. If North Korea and South Korea combines together, there are 8 Provinces. Our philosophy is that we as Korean wishes to be united in someday. Even though Korea has separated into North and South after the Korean war, people from 8 provinces are still in Paldo.

Something New From Paldo!

Our refrigerator has been on the fritz lately so I had just let the maintenance guy out when there was a knock at the door; I figured he left something. But it was our mailman! With a box! I really like when that happens!

Paldo sent me the new Paldo Namja King Cup! You can be assured it will be reviewed soon – very cool! Thanks to Moses C. over at Paldo America for sending these over!
